Acne

 

Since acne affects about 90% of people sometime during their lives, we offer a variety of options to help prevent and treat acne. These options may be used alone or in combination to minimize the agony of acne.

  • Laser therapy to treat current acne as well as acne scars

  • Isotretinoin by participating in iPledge

  • Comedone (black heads & white heads) extractions and microdermabrasion

Warts

 

Here at JD we offer a variety of traditional & novel treatments for warts. Warts are often difficult to treat so the providers at JD spend a lot of time researching human papillomavirus, HPV, the virus that causes warts.
 
We own two patents for the treatment of warts, authored a book on warts, published more than 13 articles about warts and have participated in more than 10 clinical trials for warts.

Actinic Keratosis

 

According to the Skin Cancer Foundation, more than 58 million people have scaling, crusty, red growths on the skin referred to as actinic keratosis (AK).  Since AKs may progress into skin cancer and we specialize in the treatment of skin cancer, we take AKs very seriously.  We spot treat individual AK(s) with liquid nitrogen most commonly.  We also have the ability to treat an area with numerous AKs with in office treatments as well as creams that you apply in the comfort of your own home.  


Moles (Nevi)

 

Moles are very common.  Most people have 10 to 40 moles on their skin. Johnson Dermatology and the American Academy of Dermatology advises everyone to perform regular self-skin exams.  If one of your moles is changing, growing, itching, bleeding, or just looks different from your other moles then please make an appointment or walk in to our clinic to have that mole evaluated.


Psoriasis 

 

Psoriasis is a very common condition with scaling red plaques on the skin.  Psoriasis however may involve more than just the skin.  Some people with psoriasis have other problems with their body including arthritis.  We have a dedicated psoriasis team to help with cope with your condition as well as find the best treatment option for you.  We offer the traditional therapies as well as offer the most latest treatment options including laser, UV light, and new medications.  We also participate in clinical trials and registry studies for psoriasis.


Rosacea

 

Rosacea is a facial condition often misdiagnosed for acne.  We offer medical, cosmetic, corrective skin care and laser for the treatment for rosacea.  Our providers participate often in thought leader opinion conferences and have spoken nationally about rosacea.  There are new treatments available for rosacea as well as some in the pipeline.


Rashes & Other Skin Conditions

 

Any skin rash or lesion or condition whether present for one day or one thousand days affects more than just your skin. Oftentimes, an itchy rash may interfere with your sleep or your overall quality of life.  The skin is the largest organ of the body and the one that is most visible to you and to the world.  It is because of this that we offer many same day appointments to help your skin and help you sleep better at night.  Not only are we here to treat diseased skin; we are also here to keep your skin young, healthy and beautiful.
